Kim & Blair - Crossfit Athletes

It's probably pretty plain to see when you look at these images that Kim & Blair's dedication to Crossfit over the last few years has paid off, big time!  As fit and strong as they are now, Crossfit is a sport that has always kept them pushing to strive further and reach their goals.

Kim and Blair's passion for the sport of Crossfit has driven them with the desire to share something exciting within the community of Cumberland.  They are confident that Crossfit is great for all ages of people at all levels of fitness.

They will be sharing their plans for sharing their knowledge, skills and passion with Cumberland over the next couple of months, so stay tuned!

Ki Fitness & Health

There is a new fitness haven opening in Tin Town in early June.  This friendly new studio offers personal training, yoga classes and karate!  I had the pleasure of meeting with the faces of Ki Fitness to photograph them for their website.  Jared and Sophie have made the move from Victoria to offer the Comox Valley their fitness expertise in a non-intimidating, fun atmosphere and that I'm sure that is exactly what they will do :)

Robin

I am sure that most of you know Robin as the woman behind Our Big Earth.  Robin is embarking on a new phase in her career as she takes on not one, but two National projects.

To be honest with you, I am not too keen on writing about a writer, so I am going to send you to the OBE website to catch up on what is going on with Robin!  Hee hee.

Robin was in need of new headshots of her pretty, smiling face as she starts these projects, so we planned a location that was fun, lively and colourful in hopes of avoiding the standard, stuffy business headshot.

Nicole - Writer, Songstress, Lovely Lady.

A few weeks ago, I made a trip over to Vancouver for a series of photo shoots.  I booked a total of seven during that weekend! 

My first session of the trip was with Squamish writer and musician, Nicole Trigg.  We met on a dark, stormy morning and thought we were already going to get wet, so we might as well just get right on into the ocean!  I am pretty happy with how the water photos turned out.  There were too many good ones to pick from though :)

Being that neither of us are from Vancouver, we didn't really have a location plan for the guitar photos and Nicole didn't want to be soaking wet in all of the images.  We found a cute little nook that gave us shelter from the rain :)

A Fine Cumberland Family

This hard working family has a lot on the go.  Kim appears to be one of the most sought after hair stylists around and she has been busy opening her brand new salon space.  Check out the Raw Hair website for more details.  Blair and Kim also have recently opened up a cute, fully-contained, guest rental suite in their home.  All the info on the Raw Element Guest House can be found on the here!

Aside from all of that, they're just pretty cool.  Kim's mom joined us for part of the session, which was really nice I thought.  Sometimes it is great to just have some photos of the little ones with their grandparents!

Raw Hair

I know that a lot of people that are local to the Comox Valley are going to be excited about this (especially Cumberland folk)!  Extremely talented and highly sought after hair stylist, Kim Thomas, is opening her own hair studio, Raw Hair, in Cumberland.  After a short hiatus following the birth of her son, Kim has decided to put her creative talents back to use and make you and your hair very happy indeed!  

Kim wanted to do a photo shoot to kick things off and we pulled everything together within a couple of days, did the shoot and here are the results!
