I really love your photos, especially the maternity ones and the brand new baby ones. I'm 35 weeks and would love to win this in time for some newborn photos of my baby girl :) As for a funny story, yesterday I literally had ants in my pants after I an ant crawled into my pants while I was in the washroom! Yuck and Yipes!!!

Here's a story that makes me laugh every time I think of it.
My husband often likes to come out of the shower with his towel on and do some hilarious 'man' poses for me. One time I said to him "show me your abs!" He took a deep breath and with all his might he flexed every muscle in his torso so hard, that along with the muscles, a big ol' toot popped out. He had farted, and we were forever changed.
So many of my buddies have used your talents. My husband and I got married in kind of a rush last year and never had the time or $$ to do anything nice for our special day. This would be a tremendous gift.

Can I enter or is that no fairs? If I win the prize will be a first birthday gift to beauty-ful bitty Becca! As for a funny story...ask your husband to tell you the one about the jackass & the earwig.

#1. TOTALLY am in LOVE with all your photos and have been following you on both facebook and blog.

#2. Funny story (that only my family and you will get).
We usually bug Paul all the time for being late and not knowing what is going on all the time. Quinn's 5th birthday was a few weeks ago and I sent DIRECTIONS!! date, and time to her party. We arrive and Lisa says "where are Paul and Kai they were right behind me"? The party starts... No Paul?? I get a phone call asking where we are? Paul had driven out to our house in Merville thinking it was at our house and not at the local park that I sent specific directions to!!! needless to say he made it.
SOOOOOO...... Tuesday night Lisa and I made a joke about Paul and if he knew where Kin beach was and if he would be there on time. LOL!
Again, I am sure only you get the end of the joke ;)

My husband and I have been together now for 10 years. This story took place a couple years before we were married. I had been bugging my husband to pop the question for years before he actually did, giving little hints and clipping rings out of flyers :) So on our 6 year anniversary, he came through the front door and told me to hold out my hand and close my eyes. I held out my left hand, palm down expecting an engagement ring. He then... put a tire (not yet mounted on a rim) over my hand. He bought me new tires and chrome rims for my car instead of a ring. I was surprised in a good way, but it was not what I was hoping for. He said I got 4 shiny rings instead of 1. He proposed on my birthday a couple months after :)

I love your photos, and am looking 4ward 2 baby #2 and a chance 2 photograph her with Y-O-U!

Funny story (having a toddler as silly as me makes this one easy!): While at church one Sunday the pastor asked the question in his sermon, "Who's in charge here?". And without missing a beat my 2 year-old yells out, "JESUS!" ;D

Can't think of a funny story this late either...hope to have another maternity session with you soon. Have a great day!

PICK ME PICK ME PICK ME!!! I am probably your biggest stalker on Facebook and your blog ;) You have done wedding photos, maternity pics and Newborn pics for me. (next up 1st birthday / birthday cake smash) You truly are the most talented and creative photographer I know. Lately I have been taking photography classes, as I am always so inspired looking at your photos.

Funny story - hmmm. Funny things happen all the time. Perhaps this is the most recent (maybe more gross then funny) I was in the bath the other day with my daughter, just relaxing as she played with her bath toys, when I look beside me and see the biggest poop floating in the tub with us. Needless to say not the most relaxing bath - she may bathe solo for a while

Hmmmm, a funny story... Well my son likes to fall asleep while holding our noses! Sounds pretty boring but when you have had no sleep and you see your partner holding and rocking a sweet little baby with his baby fingers using his nose like a bowling ball, it brings a smile to your face at 3 am!!

Karen Haynes said...

I think being a mother of a little one is sure to bring many moments unseen and unheard that are so funny. Little things like how my 11month old puts food in his hair or how he has just started burping on his own. I have even caught him smiling at only the pretty girls in town...wierd! I find myself singing Barney even though I hate the purple guy, and how I still try and wear white - what am I thinking? Kids are funny and being a mom, especially a single mom, one needs to find the funny, or else you will find the tears soon enough. P.S. my son woke up last night at around 2am and when I reached down in his crib to grab him he looked at me like he didn't know me. I tried to give him a hug but he just kept looking at my face, then all of a sudden he woke up enough to see me and was like "ahhh mommy" and gave me the biggest hug. It was funny I thought.

I love you work! And as a matter of fact we called you to find out about getting some photos done just after our new baby girl was born but my hubby lost his job and we couldn't really afford it :( This would be such a treat! And as for a funny story, I have a six year old son so funny things fly out of his mouth all of the time! As a matter of fact, just the other day we (myself, my son and my mom) were driving past the touchless carwash and he asked me if we could go through it. I told him not today because I didn't want to waste 12 dollars on a carwash and sarcasticly added that I couldn't afford it because I wasn't rich;) So he immediately turned to my mom and said, "What about you granny, you're rich?! You bought me all that LEGO for Christmas!" My mom and I could not stop laughing!

Crystal

You work is amazing... You captured both my girls Camryn and Emersyn last August so beautifully.. I had had great plans for our photo shoot at Telegaph Cove with both girls, myself and our bulldog. To make a long story short our dog died a few days before the shoot and Emersyn got a blister on her heel and wasn't too cooperative... But you could never tell by looking at your wonderful photos..

OMG!....I was in in the public restroom - I was barely sitting down when I heard a voice in the other stall: "Hi, how are you?"........Me: embarrassed, "Doin' fine!"Stall: "So what are you up to?".......Me: "Uhhh, I'm like you, just sitting here."Stall: "Can I come over?" ......... Me: (attitude) "No, I'm a little busy right now!!"Stall: "Listen, I'll have to call you back. There's an idiot in the other stall who keeps answering all my questions.

This was stolen from someones FB status but it litterally made me LOL and when I sent it to a friend of mine she thought I had acctually done this and preceded to tell all her coworkers what she thought I had done haha that only made this more funny to me. I love your photography and would love to win a photoshoot with you.

Thanks!

I love your work!I think you can never have enough photos of your precious babes. Pictures are the memories paused so that once the crazyness of a day while taking care of babes you can look back at your photos and hold onto that memory forever.

My funny story is when my daughter had just started going to the bathroom on her own. My neice was over and she said Alex I need to go poo in a very firm and notifying way . I need Privacy! Close the door and come in. :) I laughed so hard. I need privacy so please close the door and come in. Still makes me laugh.

Crystal your photos are amazing just like you!!

hmm funny stories.... well as you know our family is blind as bats without our glasses... it was late one night and I got up to get a glass of water, I didn't hear Nana get up and I was going back upstairs and in this really dark corner I just see these white teeth and whites of eyes! It freaked me out so bad I dropped my water and slapped him not realizing it was Nana!!

Another is Becca is exploring fries and we were having lunch with her friend Sanaa (she is 5) and Becca has a fry in her hand and touches it to Sanaa's arm. She looks at Becca and flatly says "Becca I am not your dip!" She was so serious, Sanaa's mom and I just laughed so hard!!! Becca just chewed away on her fry!!

Well I have to say this is the first time I have actually read someones "blog", and I swear it made me pee from laughter! The story about the "fetti" and "mother zombie" struck home for me, as I experience moments like this often. For me a hilarious moment was when my 2 year old son proceeded to smoosh my 2 cheeks together saying "HA HA chubby face". If he wasnt so darn cute and well not my son, I would have been PEEVED. But the mama zombie in me looked back at him, chubby cheeks and all, and said "I love you two hunny". OH to be young at heart!!!
THANKS for being so funny and encouraging me to relive funny moments in my own life.
Who knew a blog would be this much fun to follow!! KEEP THEM COMING

YOU ARE ONE TALENTED PHOTOGRAPHER. I really hope that one day I will get pictures done by you. Maybe this fall for Rowan's 4th birthday will work out.

Funny story well my mom just had a detached retina and went to Vancouver for eye surgery. She was golfing just before it detached. Rowan asks her how it happened and after hearing the real story says oh I thought you got a golf club in the eye? They keep walking and then Rowan says well I guess you are just getting old Nanny. That's what happens I guess. Hope that makes sense.

Hi Crystal! I love, love, love the blog! I have a very funny book to share about putting kids to bed that I will e-mail you...so funny you will pee your pants (but the swear word is just not appropriate for this classy blog!)

Thanks again for your magic during our shoot-you're a very talented lady :)

I really love your work and was so looking forward to having a maternity shoot with you soon but our little guy decided he just couldn't wait to meet us and this "crazy beautiful world" as my fiance would say. Although he arrived at just 33 1/2 weeks he's doing so well and has been home with us for a week now. We're looking forward to booking a newborn shoot with you soon!

I'll share a funny little dream my fiance had while I was pregnant... Our baby had arrived and we were out running some errands when he realized he had misplaced the baby. He proceeded to look in a public washroom where he found the baby, who resembled a very miniature version of himself, in the soap dish! Even funnier was that the baby was all red from people rubbing him between their hands like a bar of soap!

love your pictures! would love to get 1st year pics done of Parker...maybe even win them!
funny story.....
I rode my bike to work and was late so i ran in and left my bike outside the back door. Later on that morning i realized i didnt lock it up. Needless to say it was gone.....I was pretty upset, it was my only transportation at the time and it was my husbands bike. After work i walked around the rivers and parks checking if someone may have dumped it no luck. later that night my sister and I were doing some running around. We pulled up to the intersection by georges food bar and just at the same time as a local well known bum riding my bike! we were freakin out not knowing what to do we followed him to sims park. we werent sure if we should aproach him ourselves or call the police when he stopped leaned it up against the bathroom building and went inside. i really had no time to think so i just jumped out of the car and stole my bike right back and rode like hell! haha

I have been a fan for awhile...love your work! I have a 3yr old girl and a 2 month old baby girl. Would LOVE a new updated family photo of the 4 of us!!

~funny story...when my fiance was proposing to me 4 years ago, he took me to the airpark, thats where we had our first date/make-out session! So it was Christmas Eve day and so sunny and gorgeous, and he asked me if I wanted to grab subs and head for a walk. I guess he was nervous but I just thought he was extra quiet and ignored it, figuring he's tired. We get to the look out point where we shared our first kiss, and he's telling me how much i mean to him, how much he loves me, stroking my back...all mushy-gushy which he NEVER is in public. And i lean over the lookout and said EEEWWWW look at that giant dead fish!! He waved it off and continued his "love" speech, and i kept interrupting him saying, no look its right there, sooo nasty!! OMG it smells too. Finally he slams the ring box in front of me on the ledge and says, enough about the dead fish I want to ask you something!! We still laugh about my "romantic" proposal everytime!!!

S said...
